Archangel Uriel
Salvation and Pure Love
Uriel’s name means ‘God is my light’ or ‘Fire of God’. He is widely known as the Archangel of Repentance and Salvation. Archangel Uriel holds fire at the gates of the Lost Eden after “The Fall” in the biblical story of Adam and Eve. The term Lost Eden relates to forgetting to love God. Uriel was charged with teaching the path of the heart and the way of fire - symbol of God’s pure Love. The flame represents the flame of Love that ignites the heart in service to God, which he holds out to all souls.
By receiving this flame, our emotional, mental and spiritual understanding are enhanced and we are able to commit to the service of God’s loving plan. In Christian tradition, Uriel is also the Angel of Music, Poetry and Prophecy. He is often depicted carrying a symbol of wisdom in the form of a book or papyrus scroll
